THE INFLUENCE OF COMMUNICATION SKILLS ON ADMINISTRATIVE PERFORMANCE
Abstract: The objective of this research is to assess the influence of communication skills on administrative performance, highlighting how effective communication can enhance administrative roles. Utilizing a survey research design, this study gathers quantitative data from a sample of 370 administrative professionals in an educational institution in Enugu, determined using Taro Yamane’s formula for precision. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.91, indicating high reliability. Results indicate that strong communication skills significantly improve administrative performance, particularly in coordinating tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment. The study recommends regular communication skills training and workshops to continuously improve administrative efficiency and effectiveness.
